SENTENCE (kalimat) adalah kumpulan dua kata atau lebih yang mempunyai arti dan sempurna karena mempunyai kata kerja (verb)
1.      Verbal Sentence (kata kerja) adalah kalimat yang di dalamnya terdapat/mempunyai kata kerjanya (verb)
Example:
1.      My mother cooks rice
2.      They play football everyday
3.      She writes a letter
2.      Nominal Sentence (Kalimat Nominal) adalah kalimat yang di dalamnya tidak terdapat/memiliki verb (kata kerja), maka kita harus memakai kata kerja berupa to be (am, is, dan are).
Example:
1.      Mr. tono is a teacher
2.      They are diligent boys
